Established in 1973 and relocated to Bemidji in 1980, Northland Hardwood specializes in quality Northern Hardwoods. The company operates distribution yards in Minnesota and Wisconsin, with a softwood cut-up plant in Bemidji.
With over 25 years of experience, Creative Log Structures designs, fabricates and installs custom log and timber products. Their services include custom sawing, kiln drying, planing and environmentally-friendly wood preserving.
Norbord's facility in Solway produces structural Oriented Strand Board (OSB) panels primarily used in home construction. The mill supports over 350 jobs directly and indirectly, utilizing various tree species from Minnesota's forests.
Co-founded by Paul and Gregg Thorne, the company designs innovative high-performance fishing rods under the brands Elliott Rods and 2B FISHING. Paul Thorne was inducted into the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame in 2021.
Founded in 1920, Bemidji Woolen Mills manufactures woolen apparel for the outdoor industry. The company operates a large store in downtown Bemidji and a manufacturing facility in the industrial park south of town.
Since 1991, Pine Products has been producing animal bedding and wood shavings. Their Bemidji facility, opened in 2007, serves the equine, dairy, hog, poultry, pet and other industries.
